“He creates playful miniature environments based on personal memories. Stemming from a self-taught approach to stop-motion animation, his practice also encompasses large video/sculptural installations using robotics and interactivity. Since completing a BFA at NSCAD in 2002, his work has shown internationally. Notable accolades include a 2012 Canada Council for The Arts Victor Martyn Lynch-Staunton Award (media arts), selection as the Atlantic finalist for the 2014 and 2009 Sobey Art Award, and a 2011 Juno award nomination. Graemeās “Secret Citadel”, a solo exhibition of large-scale sculptural installation and stop-motion animation, has been touring Canada and is currently is on view at the Surrey Art Gallery from January 16 to March 20, 2016″.
